The NATO-Russia Permanent Joint Council (PJC) had an extraordinary
meeting on Thursday 18 June at NATO Headquarters. Ambassadors exchanged views on the
situation in Kosovo and on the international community's response to the crisis in the
light of the meeting held by the President of the Russian Federation and the President of
the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in Moscow on 16 June 1998.
Ambassadors reaffirmed the determination of NATO and Russia to contribute to international
efforts to find a peaceful solution to the crisis and to promote regional stability.
